hello, last year my mom did an OCT and the opth said that there was some macula "swelling"problem and gave my mom 3 shots of avastin for three months.Last month we visited another opth n he said that whay my mom got was epiretinal membrane in which cant be treated by injection. My questions are:1.If it cant be treated by injection, then why the first opth performed the injections?Could it be misdiagnose? 2.When is it necessary to do the operation, right away or wait till it affects our daily activities?thankyou.
