Hi, I Have A Band Of Skin In My Vagina

hi, i have a band of skin in my vagina that gets caught on my tampons and i can actually see and feel it. I have been to my doctor twice about it and she didn't really notice it and said it was probably just a skin and that i needed to take my tampon out on a different angle. She was able to get the speculum and two fingers in etc but the skin bothers me and im scared it will interfere with sex.
