hi. my daiughter is 18years of age. She used to have severe stomach aches on the second day of her menses. Was advised by an gynae to take contraceptive pill to ease the pain. But whenever taking the pill she had stomach pain so she stopped taking after 6days. The period continues til the 10th day where i took her to a gynae and was given a hormone jab. After a week the period stops.

After a month the spoting came til today the 19days still having it and its black in colour now. I went to a doctor and was given NORCOLUT (norethisterone 5mg) which is be taken one in the morning and one at night for 2 weeks.

The question i need to know is after 2 weeks of this medication will her mensus become regular again as want her to discontinue her contraceptive pill.

Will this medication makes her drowsy as she needs to go to college for studying .

Is taking pain killer every month to stop her period pain harmful. if not for this pill she cant stand the pain. every time the pain is severe and makes her vomit and have cold hands and feet as well.

Before she has polysistic but now no longer having it.
