I Am Permanent Part Guardian In West Australia For A

i am permanent part guardian in west australia for a man of 72 who following non-consensual entry to residential care (for elders) was not willing to eat or drink. This had followed a pre-Christmas stroke, from barely managed diabetes. IN care he developed a grade 4 decubitus ulcer, life threatening as initially an acute care hospital declined to treat or even hydrate. At this time, with a healing ulcer and new strength from hg feeding this person faces palliation when ng tube is removed BECAUSE HE STILL DECLINES FOOD AND WATER BY MOUTH. This looks like, smells like severe mental health issue (treatable) however he will be dried out and will die of course unless he can be pursuaded to recommence feeding by mouth. I am not confident of finding this miracle anywhere however. He was moved to a hospice last evening. My question? does dehydration during "final fortnight" cause nightmares due to brain dehydration?
