I Recently Had Artificial Cervical Disc Replacement Surgery (Tuesday 4/12/16)

i recently had artificial cervical disc replacement surgery (Tuesday 4/12/16) and now i keep getting sharp pains in the middle of my back (not the spine) on both sides. It's random and comes on when i'm sitting or standing, doing absolutely nothing or taking a deep breath but when it does come on it stops me dead in my tracks and is very painful! Usually only lasts @ 10 seconds and goes away (there's nothing specific I do to make it go away). I have an appointment with my surgeon that did the Disc replacement surgery this coming Thursday for a check up but i want to make sure this isn't something i should go see a dr. for before then? Any ideas?
