In Past 48 Hours My Scalp Has Become Exquisitly Tender

in past 48 hours my scalp has become exquisitly tender to touch esp. lower post cranial prominences and most tender over left temporal area; low grade fever after 24 hours. Not exposed to outdoors much as have been managing recurrent asthma. Have used steroid inhaler 3 weeks plus albuterol and now comfortable but can't explain this pain on skeletal muscles of head. Worried my primary hasn't a clue as well.
