Is Having Severe Mid/upper Back Pain And Has Gone To

is having severe mid/upper back pain and has gone to several doctors (general physician, emergency room, and Thoracic Surgeon that helped him on his long cancer) and all say he needs to see a spine doctor but appointments are way out, 6 weeks or more. Since early last week, his leg has become more and more tingly / numb, today it has gotten bad and he is worried about being able to walk on it. We are going to call DUKE hospital on Monday morning when the get back in but is it possible for him to have permanent damage or loss of feeling in his leg if we wait another 2 days?
