KrystinaMy Husband Had Blood Work Completed And His Testosterone Level

krystinaMy husband had blood work completed and his testosterone level was 2.5 and his hemoglobin was high. Our Dr. said it could be testicular cancer or Prostate cancer, and wants him to start getting weekly testosterone shot. My concern is that testosterone shots can cause even higher hemoglobin levels. I am also concerned because the shots can sometimes accelerate the growth of cancer. Is this the normal protocol for treatment? I do not believe his blood was tested for PSA, should this be done prior to starting any type of therapy......... concerned nurse and wife.
