Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my family and i have a history of depression and i was placed on anti depressants last year when my mother died of brain cancer. i only stayed on my medicine for 3 months before i took myself off of them. it was a mixture of anti depressants and anxiety medicine. my symptoms are fatigue and loss of sleep due to a constant pain in my lower ribs that feel as though something is wrapped around me as well as chest pain. the lower rib pain is mostly at night but can occur to carry on through the day. the chest pain can be sharp at times and more painful but does not last as constant as the lower rib pain. i do not feel as though any organ is in pain. i feel as though im having minor anxiety attacks but i don't understand why this is happening. i don't feel anymore stress than usual and i stay active and eat pretty well. im requesting a doctors appointment from my doctor and was going to ask if they can test my vitamin levels to see if something is off or try to see why my body is having these reactions. please let me know if their is something else i should discuss with my doctor to get to the bottom of whats going on. i would really like to sleep again.
