My Granddaughter 5 Months Has Small (pin Head Size) Spots
my granddaughter 5 months has small (pin head size) spots on her face , arms and also starting to appear on her one leg. Not plenty about 8 in face and 6 on one arm 2 on the other, 3 on leg. We have blood cancer in the family. She has had flu and received antibiotics and cortisone. Should we be worried.
Hi, Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum.
What other symptoms does she have? What you are noticing are Petechiae which are small, round, pinpoint-sized hemorrhages of small capillaries in the skin. It can happen if there is any autoimmune disease, Drug allergy, Blood coagulation anomalies, local injury or trauma which i suppose she does not have or it can be due to viral infections. Get her thoroughly evaluated by a Pediatrician and the goal of treatment would be to treat the underlying cause.
