Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my granddaughter is 7 months old. She had a bad cold and cough for some time but this has improved. The GP referred her to the asthma nurse as the babies mother has mild asthma. As a result she was prescribed montenukast in granule form to put in her food. My question is should the baby not be referred to a paediatrician before starting her on steroids. She has never been breathless and appears well at the moment.
