my husband 63 has had two hip replacements in thee late 70s..jan2015 he had a revision on left hip seemed ok till Sept then it looked like an infection puffed up on incision. reopened-cleaned out-rplaced cup\ball thought staff but culture did not grow anything..two weeks later it was opened again thought infection but again culture did not grow . at tthat time his hemoglobin was 7.7 . gave two units of blood l. with blood and iron infusions hemoglobin is 10.4 sed rate 102. colonoscopy good. Scope showd four tiny bleeding ulcers..taking pantoprazole. Doctors aRE stumped. he HAD SIX wewhateks of Vancomyacin iv then four weeks of Cefepene and cubicin thru pick line. now will be taking Levaquin for a year.. but stll no idea what happened. any ideas? platelets 98000
