My Husband Is In Severe Chronic Back Pain,he Has Had

my husband is in severe chronic back pain,he has had two steroid lumbar facet inj. in the last two months.he is diabetic and 430 lbs.when they put him on glyburide and metformin it made him gain over 100lbs in 18 months.the shots are not relieving his pain and the doctor doing the injections " does not believe in narcotics" and his primary care wants him to do phys. therapy but he also has a pacemaker and defib/ and his ejection faction is at 23 percent. Please help me what can I do to help my husband? I dont know how much more of this severe (at rest a 6 and when he moves to go to the bathroom it jumps to a 9.5) pain he can take! none of his doctors want to help or care to help it feels like.
