My Husband Is Recovering From Stroke. Normally He Is On

my husband is recovering from stroke. normally he is on an insulin pump with u500, but hospital won't use pump they are covering his sugars ( which run between 250-280 with a sliding scale. They usually give 10 u of u100, which equals about 2 u of u500. Is is ok to keep his sugars at that number?
