my mother in law is 65 and her ankles are swollen all of the time. she has a few veins (no more than 10 or so) on her ankles, they are mostly tiny and purple. in 2009, she was diagnosed with colonrectal cancer and completed chemo and radiation treatments. she developed neuropathy as a result of the treatments. since then she has been in pretty good health. what can be causing this swelling in her ankles and what does shes need to do for the swelling to go down?
