My Soft Plate Has Several Small Flesh Colored Bumps On

my soft plate has several small flesh colored bumps on it. My arch on both sides of the back of my mouth is very red. I noticed this alittle over 4 months ago. About one month ago I noticed it was becoming harder to swallow almost like it takes effort to swallow every time all of the time. My doctor originally thought the bumps and red arches was a virus. Now he said it is just normal for me. The redness and bumps have me really concerned. My throat does not hurt but as mentioned above, it has been really red for months. I had my throat swabbed twice in the last 4 months and the results were normal flora. I also went to an ent a few weeks ago. He used a scope to check my nose and throat. He reported no significant virus and suggested doing some additional study work. Do you have any idea why my throat is so red with bumps and whyit is hard to swallow? Can you suggest a next step I can take to figure this out?
