on monday night i dropped a shelf on my feet, the big toe on my left foot is fractured in 3 places, i went to emerg and had x-rays done then a fracture clinic the next day where i was outfitted with an aircast. my question is, how long will my foot stay swollen and why do my toes sometimes feel like they are wet? they are tingly and when i am standing upright it feels like someone is ripping the nail off my big toe. should i continue icing or has that opportunity passed?
