Patient Sedated And Intubated Due To Pneumonia And Development Of

patient sedated and intubated due to pneumonia and development of ARDS. Sedated for 10 days, numbers improved, infection no longer evident. Weaned off of meds, but is not waking up. Underlying glioblastoma. What reasons could explain this besides simply a slower recovery and metabolization of sedation meds?
