Rat Bite Fever.

i had fever and joint pains with rashes all over the body, it got relieved and latter with few medications, the symptoms came back again, this time they did some blood tests and told that i have got a disease from rat bite, i remember it was long back in my back yard the rat had bitten me and now the disease has come after 8 months, what is this rat bite fever

yes i agree with you, rat bite fever occurs when rat feces or urine get contiaminated with water, then if you get contacted with your skin, you can have rat bite fever. its not due to bite of rat. i heard its more common in sewers.

Interesting the rat bite fever does not come by biting of a rat. The name sounds common. During my childhood my old dilapidated house has enough of rats and used to eat our family members nails and toes when we were asleep
