Red Ring Around Butt Whole
Hi, My son has a red ring around his butt whole Hi, My son has a red ring aroundHi, My son has a red ring around his anus, and just had a bowel movement that I wasn t able to get to before he flushed it. He said he had blood on the toilet paper when he wiped himself. He is going to be 4 in June. He also has been itching his butt alot lately. Is this some sort of worm do you think?

I gone through Ur problem..don't think foolish.,
*It is not worm ..worm does not adhesive roundly..,
It is only plug the intestinal musa internally.., during night .. (heavy worm infestation persons) .,it will come outside moving accordingly...
And U mentioned blood on the tiolet paper means it could be Hemorrhoids..i.e . Dilated veins ,arranged in the ano-rectal area at the Dentate line ..,
*hence it appeared as Ring..in advanced stages due to heavy weight (pooling of blood) ..it could be come outside and appeared like this Immediately consult Gastro-enterologist and go accordingly..,don't waste the time..be positive.., think medically o.k.

Pin worm infestation is very common in children this leads to severe itching around the anus, it can be treated by tab albendazole, washing undergarments in hot water, preventing scatching, washing hand properly. consult physician for further evaluation and tretment

I had this problem as well. There is no worm. The blood on the toilet paper means that you son is not eating enough fiber. He needs to eat foods such as fruit, vegetable, yogurt, milk, fiber bars, oatmeal, fiber cereal, eggs, blueberries, broccolli, and bread. The red ring i had as well. It was a problem that i was born with and when i was born it was very small and when i got older it had expanded and during my teen years I had surgery to have it removed. they put you to sleep during this operation and then after operation they give you stiches and i had to use a dougnot to sit down. The itching means that probally his butt isnt being washed enough or not very good. use a washcloth and scrub it with soap real well. you can buy cream in a local pharmacy to stop the itching. if cream doesnt help to get rid of the itching you may want to buy powder or some other cream that is specifically for a rash. MY father works for Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
