Lesuride is given for functional dyspepsia and GERD problems, because of its effect on oesophageal sphincter.

Side effects inclde nausea,dizziness,postural hypotension,weight gain,dry mouth and hyperprolactinaemia.

hi welcome to HCM. Lesuride contains Levosulpiride and this is a prokinetic, which means that it increases the speed of emptying the stomach. It has a side effect of breast tenderness and galactorrhea (milk like secretion from breasts). These side effects can be stopped by stopping the drug.

Hi,
Lesuride contains Levosulpiride and this is a prokinetic, which means that it increases the speed of emptying the stomach. It reduces gas formation and due to faster emptying the acidity problems.
It is comparitively safe drug. Rarely it can lead to allergy, headacke , etc. levosulpiride is an effective and safe drug in the treatment of dysmotility-like functional dyspepsia and non-erosive reflux disease.
