Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

Wheezing from childhood is suggestive of asthma. And this can cause pain in ribs.

So better to consult pulmonologist in person and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test), chest x ray.

He will need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid along with painkiller and anti inflammatory drugs.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar
