What Causes Numbness In Lips Post Crown Replacement Procedure?

I recently had a tooth crown replaced. The anesthitic wore off after a few hours. Aside from the normal pain & discomfort everything was good. 3 days later, the numbness returned to my lower lip where the crown was placed, now it is 6 days after procedure and my lip is still numb. Any ideas on what happened?

hello,
I am suspect of an infection causing an inflammatory reaction. Pressure could cause numbness. We're any metals involved causing an allergic reaction?
Try some Antiinflammitory medication such as Tylenol or Advil. I suggest a call and return visit to the dentist.
thank you for your inquiry.
