What Causes Shooting Pain In The Temple At The Site Of An Injury?

Hi I got hit on my temple with an iPhone3 When I woke in the morning I couldn t open my mouth and was painful to eat Gradually I could open my mouth more It happens about 4 years ago and I never went to get it checked out Now I get shooting pains and and it s painful if I massage that area

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having some degenerative changes in your TM joint producing pain and stiffness at the joint.
Consult oral surgeon and get examined.
Meanwhile do opening and closing of mouth exercise to stop further deterioration of the joint.
Avoid chewing hard stuff or wide opening your mouth.
