The reports suggests possibility of what is known as metabolic syndrome or syndrome X. The condition is prevalent in most developed and developing countries, similar to type 2 diabetes and hypertension. This is an umbrella term for describing various multiple endocrine abnormalities combined together. The most common symptoms includes lethargy due decreased thyroid activity, dark neck, weight gain and infertility to list a few.
