What Is The Cause For The Nausea When Slept On The Back With Head Slightly Elevated And What Treatment Do You Recommend?

When I was performing a sit-up I suddenly felt nauseous. Now, whenever I lay on my back with a slight head elevation I have to stand up immediately to stop the sudden nausea. What is the cause of this, and what treatment do you recommend? Thank you.

Hi,
I appreciate your concern . I feel that you might have injured your neck/cervical region during sit ups. Any injury to cervical region will manifest with nausea along with dizziness , vertigo etc.
I would recommend that you minimize your neck movements. Avoid using pillow for some time. Try taking antiemetics to help your nausea. Avoid heavy meals. Take small frequent meals.
Hope it helps
