Hello, Welcome to HCM Normal Hemoglobin for an adult male is : 13.8 to 18.0 g/dL (138 to 180 g/L) and for adult female is: 12.1 to 15.1 g/dL (121 to 151 g/L). If you are male or female, either way your hemoglobin is within normal limits. No,need to worry. Hemochromatosis is a condition where there is accumulation of iron in the body.It may be hereditary or due to excessive blood transfusion. It is not diagnosed by Hemoglobin levels. It is diagnosed by serum ferritin levels and liver biopsy. Hope i have answered your query. Thank you
