why does my heart beat so fast when i am nervous about something? today my history teacher was about to tell my marks and my heart beat was o fast that i thought something would happen to me! why does this happen? is it something serious?

sometimes when i take a nap or try to sleep, i feel my heart beating and i feel this flutter and it wakes me up and when it does it starts to beat really fast and its pounding its a very disturbing feeling and it scares me. is this normal?

it is ur sympathetic nervous system which secretes the neurotransmitter adrenalin which acts to speed up your heart and make it contract more powerfully this happens when you get excited or nervous or scared.
