i have pityriasis rosea for about 8 weeks now. the rash has stopped spreading, but has dried out and has left me with a "leathery" feel on my skin. It's cracking and peeling, but also is tight and sore. It sort of feels like a bad sunburn. Is this normal when the rash starts to diminish?
ya its quite normal for the rash to subside with scaling and bit of light colored skin, u neednt worry if the earlier diagnosis was correct as it is a self limmiting thing, thou u cud send in ur lesional pics for confirmation on dr.resham@gmail.com.
till then just apply emmolients, like nivea cream.

I had pityriasis rosea and it went away. It took a long time and I was miserable, but it is completely gone now aside from a few scars. It really stressed me out and stress made it worse, but it is gone now and I am happy.
I have the same problem, and would love to know if and when it went away.
