My 24 mos old toddler had a fever of 103, I took him to the Dr. and I was told it was a viral. == 2 year old kids may get viralk fevers upto 10 a year Four days later he got a rash all over his body didnt itchy (couldnt hardly feel it when I touched it) I still took him to the ER because he was still runing a fever of 101. I was then told it was Roseola. == often rash come a little later than fever and doesnt last more than 3 days, usually due to nursery contacts. not to worry give him alot to drink === most fever rash heal on their own, docs are woried mainly of fever related dehydration , seizure and reduced intake, so they advice only liberal liquids and paracetamol. . Now 5 days later he is back to normal but he caught another rash which started with a red noise, itchy scalp and spread all over his body === itchy rashes are often allergic. and usually follow medicines,diet ro contact with something as simple as a flower. they look like hives. . It is kind of pink on his the face but flesh color on the rest of the body. == lets call it erythema all over body thats itchy Has no fever eating playing normaly... == a sign of recovery from previous fever Just a little worry why it came back this will be the 3rd time === i hope she is immunised as per age. him getting this the 1st was just a lil rash no fever I was told it was a viral == true, most rashes are viral when they recover in 3-5 days . 2nd time he had fever and I was told it was the roseola == its the same viral now has been given a name and this 3rd time the Dr is telling me it could be a allergic reaction to something he ate... == possible as it is itchy blotches but I have not intruduce him to anything new. === 99 percent of time we cant locate the allergen How long will it take for it to clear up its been 3 days and every time i take him a bath or so i see more === maintain hydration, revisit doctor if any danger signs or worsening. there are many rashes common in kids and usually a kid may get from 0 to 5 rashes of viral type till 5 years.
