I appreciated Dr. Kumar's suggestion that a swab and test be taken but went to an opthamologist here and suggested that, but instead he told me to quit using the eyedrops with steroids and antibiotics that had kept the redness at bay but did not cure it permanently. I have done that for several days and my eye is increasingly swollen and still tearing. It is frustrating to get no response to that suggestion.

I am certain the doctor's reply was appropriate but my concern was a possible link to elevated blood pressure or impending heart issues. I really don't have a clue but I remember having heard of a link between floaters and heart issues.
