I did end up seeing a Doctor in the E.R. and your answers were just what I was tested for. Still waiting to get to the bottom of this.

Followed up with visit to new Opthmologist am having procedure on Tuesday to drain sty. Yikes! Thank you for your advise.

Thank you for your help/input. I gave her some benedryl chewables and put a small amount of allergy topical cream on her eyelid (careful not to get near her eye). Her swelling was gone by evening that day and has not returned. Do figure it was a bug bite but why it took several days from initial stinging pain for the full on swelling to manifest was odd.
