70 Years Old. Noticed Red Blood After Urination. What Are The Risks?
Question: age 70, fresh bright red blood after pee, wiping this morning
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Blood in urine can be caused by urinary tract stones, kidney glomerulopathy, kidney injury, urinary bladder tumors.
Sometimes red color of the urine can appear due to beets eating or any other red color product.
If burning when urinating appears or frequent urinating the most probable is uti.
You should have abdominal ultrasound, full blood work and urine analysis. IF no finding in this tests, and blood in urine still present, kidneys biopsy should be done.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
