Thanks for your query.
I appreciate your efforts for medical consultation in so much distress.
Important aspects of your query are:
• 25 year old female
• Known case of lower back pain
• Complaints of: addiction of Tylenol PM, forgetfulness and withdrawal symptoms.
Tyleno PM contain acetaminophen (Paracetamol) compound and it has withdrawal like you mentioned on stoppage. Usually its dependence occur when person use it unsupervised by physician excessively.
Paracetamol has several adverse effects on body and most XXXXXXX is liver toxicity. You are having symptoms of both: paracetamol overdose alternate with its withdrawal.
Usually during treatment of paracetamol addiction person need to stop paracetamol gradually and same time other medicine like sedatives and pain killers are given to prevent withdrawal and these medicine gradually tapered and stop over a period of few weeks.
You need to get examined, investigated for liver function and other tests. Your vitals should be monitored. It is better to seek treatment from physician specially de addiction specialist, preferably after getting admitted (considering severity of your condition). So do not shy and seek admission earliest as each day is important.
Till the time you seek consultation follow below measures:
-Take Acetyl cysteine 500mg 2 times a day: it will limit liver damage to some extent
-Multivitamins capsule
-Fruits in diet
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. In case of any doubt, I will be available for follow ups.
Wish you good health.
