Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 5 year old has strep throat that has been accompanied by a pretty serious fever. I ve been giving him intervals Motrin and Tylenol, however this last time I think I may have given him a second dose of Motrin when it was actually time for Tylenol, is this going to hurt him? It had been about four hours since his last dose.
The usual dose is every 8 hourly but you have given once so it might not cause any problem but be careful next time. Maintain proper hydration by giving plenty of fluids and juices for the time being.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Fahum Akhter, General & Family Physician
