Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

When did this start? Any blood or mucus in stools? Any pain on defecation?

This suggests acute gastroenteritis. Mostly theses are viral, and need only supportive measures. Just continue paracetamol 3-4 times a day for 2 days. Give frequent sips of fluids like ORS to avoid dehydration. If fever continues beyond 48 hours, stool contain blood or mucus, or she becomes lethargic and not at all feeding, kindly take her to your pediatrician for further management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
