Am Pregnant. Sore Leg And Numbness. Should I Be Worried?

Question: Im 37 weeks and 2 days pregnant and when i woke up this morning i noticed my leg being sore like a weak or dead feeling and i was wondering why and should i be worried or could this mean im closer to labour?
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The feeling of numbness in the leg near full term can be due to compression of nerves caused by the pressure put by the uterus on your spine. To avoid this problem you can lie in a left lateral position. Avoid lying on your back.
These symptoms are not indicative of an onset of labour.
Such occasional numbness usually resolves on its own after some time without any treatment. Please do not worry.
Hope this answers your query. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
