Are Duphaston Tablets Advisable During Pregnancy?
Question: Hi Doc,
I am now completed 5th week and doc advised me to take Duphaston (dydrogesterone tablets) 10mg twice a day for 3 weeks.
Note: This is my second natural pregnancy (no treatments) as i had abortion for first baby(twins)due to no heart beat in 8th week.
So please suggest me whether really i need to take this tablet at this time. In During my first pregnancy i had these medicine Vopol lus tab, pregcert sr-300 and Lycostar syp.

okay thanks doctor for your reply. As my doctor advised me to take 2 tablet in a day morning and night. So can i proceed with two tablets or one tablets? 10mg per tablet.

It is better to take natural micronized progesterone like Susten, that you can insert vaginally once a day.
It gives minimum side effects and more efficacy compared to oral duphaston.
