Question: Are breast implants toxic? Can they cause illness or release toxins into your system?

Hi and welcome to HCM. Most breast implants are silicone based and this is material which is not toxic for human body and it does not release any toxic products into blood. What can happen, is infection of implant or surrounding breast tissue and then certain complications may develop. So if I have same implants 15 years w no infection or rupture or complications, there is no way it could release anything toxic from the shell inti my system?
