Are Butterfly Rashes A Sign Of An HPV Infection?
Question: Hello. My question is about Lupus and HPV. I have been diagnosed with HPV and I've been going back to the doctor every three months to make sure it's not cancerous. My records show it has gotten better since my last appointment and is clearing itself up naturally. My guy friends mother has lupus apparently. he said he's had a skin and pee test and the result came back negative but I do know that's hard to test for. he said he has had symptoms like the butterfly rash before but hasn't had any symptoms in over two years. so I was wondering if his immune system is currently fine if it's OK to have sex or if it's a terrible idea.

Well, as per your query having sex with lupus patients is not a problem... Lupus is lot transmitted sexually... your friends immune system is hyperactivated, which is the reason behind lupus.. so medications r given to bring it down...
But as for HPV it can be transmitted via sexual intercourse. even thought it is improving you should wait till your doctor gives u a green signal...Normally it doesn't not cause any symptoms, but it can be transmitted at a subclinical level

well not as high as intercourse but it can get transmitted.. HPV does need a enviroment like genitals to grow but it may effect the lip area.. So little risk does remain
