Are Frequent Bowel Movements Post Intake Of Amla Juice Normal?
Ayurveda perspective
Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your health concern and following is my opinion:
1. Since Amla is rich in vitamin C thus is acidic [pitta] in nature which causes acidity and resulting loose stool but since is cold [sheet] in potency thus will pacify pitta. [so although cannot attribute the side effect but vary from person to person]
PS. you may add honey to the amla+water mixture
2. It could be that your intestine are getting irritated to the juice [hypersensitivity] so best is to stop the juice for 3-5 days and then observe the pattern, if everything is normal then could be allergic to amla otherwise one has to exclude IBS [irritable bowel syndrome/Grahani]
3. make sure Amla juice is of reputed pharmacy and not expired.

1. Even after discontinuing the medicine the symptoms reappeared on continuing the same thus could be amla allergy [or adverse drug reaction/side effect in some individual] so try replacing it with either aloe vera juice, bitter gourd juice, seabuck thorn juice.
PS. try mixing/consuming amla juice with beetroot and orange juice.

Dear
Thanks for reverting back.
1. Both the said herbs are important in their own respective qualities and one cannot compare merely on the basis of one property.
2. You can take aloe vera juice for hair problem (sInce it promotes digestion) and in Ayurveda root cause of every problem is "Digestion"
3. As it contains proteolytic enzymes thus helps in repairing the dead skin cells on the scalp, the gel variant acts as a great conditioner (massage half an hour before bathing on scalp and thereafter wash with lukewarm water) thereby promoting hair growth.
