Are Headache And Pain In Nose Symptoms Of Sinus Cancer?

Question: Hello, I have had chronic sinusitis often before but over the last 3 weeks its been very bad. Usually the only symptoms I have is a few headaches and pain/pressure on the bridge of my nose but this time I have awful toothpain in the top right side at the back. I've seen a doctor and she told me it couldn't be a sinus infection as I do not have a temperature, she sent me away with Sudafed congestion tablets and beclametasone allergy spray. Neither have helped really. The pain is not constant, but does come back. I have virtually no nasal secretions but the dentist has told me my teeth are fine and it isn't a dental issue. I'm absolutely terrified its sinus tumour or something else terrible. Does it sound like cancer to you? Pls offer your professional opinion. Many thanks XXXXXXX

Yes, you are right about cancer and it's pain. Cancer pain is mostly dull aching and constant.
But since your dental examination by dentist and sinus examination by ENT doctor are normal, x ray and CT scan of PNS will be more informative.
They will rule out cancer and also help in identifying cause.
So better to get done these tests to diagnose yourself.

The pain in tooth came a few months ago along with pressure on roof of mouth then went away for a few weeks before coming back, but it definitely isn't constant. I'm a 33 year old woman, my GP said its very rare to have sinus cancer at my age and especially not if I've never smoked or drink, and do not work with certain chemicals, is this true? Thanks
