Are Soreness And Tingling Sensation In Head Post An Injury Normal?
Question: 10 hours ago, I slipped and fell and hit the back of my head on the hardwood floor. I was stunned and saw black for a second. My head is sore and I have a tingly feeling in the back of my head and slight headache. I am scared to go to sleep.
Brief Answer:
Most likely there are no significant brain damages.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
If you feel only a slight headache, but no nausea or vomiting, and if you are sure that you didn't lose consciousness after hitting head you have nothing to worry.
Ten hours also are a sufficient time to be sure that no major brain damages were done.
So, if you are not alone in the house, and someone can check on you, you can go to sleep.
If you feel any nausea or vomiting, worsening headaches, then you should get evaluated by a Doctor.
In my opinion, you have nothing to worry about.
I think, Tylenol 500 mg every 6-8 hours is sufficient for the pain.
Greetings.
