Are There Any Interactions Between Lisinopril, Doxazosin And Norvasc?

I have been prescribed 4 medications whose interactions concern me.
Morning: Lisinopril (20 mg) + Hydrorochlorothaliazide (25mg)
Amlodipine Besylate (Norvasc) (5 mg)
Evening: Aptiom (Eslicarbazepine Acetate) (800 mg)
Doxazosin Mesyl (Cardura) 4 mg.

orthostatic hypotension is common
Detailed Answer:
Dear Dr XXXX,
most of the common side effects of these drugs (caused by interactions between them) are orthostatic hypotension and an additional risk for electrolyte disorders (hyponatremia mostly).
Orthostatic hypotension may present with a rapid lowering of the blood pressure after rising from the recumbent position, which may cause faintness, albeit temporary. Sitting on the side of the bed for a while before getting up is a good way to manage it.
Hyponatremia means the reduction of blood sodium levels. The diuretic (hydrochlorothiazide) causes a reduction in blood sodium. Eslicarbazepine (and other similar drugs) may also cause a reduction in blood sodium. If the patient is asymptomatic then the blood sodium level can be ignored (unless very significant). If the patient experiences headaches, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, cognitive disorders or even lethargy and coma then this issue will have to be addressed urgently.
I hope you find my comments helpful!
You can contact me again, if you'd like any clarification or further information.
Kind Regards!

Many thanks. Would there be any additional difficulties by the occasional use of hydrocodone or tramadol, or ibuprofen, for pain?
Thank you.

there are some concerns
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
you're welcome!
Occasional use of hydrocodone or tramadol won't cause any serious trouble. You shouldn't take both of them though because they have additive effects on central nervous system suppression.
Regarding ibuprofen there are some concerns. Due to the pathophysiologic interaction of lisinopril, amlodipine and ibuprofen in the kidney vasculature, using ibuprofen may cause problems.
Using lisinopril or amlodipine with ibuprofen may cause an increase in your blood pressure levels. Lisinopril with ibuprofen may also cause kidney damage, particularly in patients you use diuretics or are dehydrated, have pre-existing kidney damage (reduced glomerular filtration rate) and the elderly.
Kind Regards!
