Are There Urology Cameras That Can Scan Bladder From Within?
Question: Hi , I would like to know if there is a urology camera that can be turned to see inside tuners
On the sidewall of the Bladder.
On the sidewall of the Bladder.
Brief Answer:
telescopes available
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The problem is not with the camera but with the telescope to which the camera is attached. Conventional telescopes are 30°, and we might need to use 70° or even 120° scopes on occasions which are not routinely available.
So what we do is use a flexible cystoscope at low bladder distention which should help us reach practically all areas of the bladder for biopsy with pressure on lower abdomen from outside, if necessary.
These are however technical issues more for discussion among urologists.
Hope you get better.
Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
I doubt
Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
I doubt if all hospitals will have these. I suggest you approach a place or hospital where the consultants take active interest in bladder tumour treatment, as such places are more likely to be equipped with such scopes, and secondly should a resection were to be required of such a tumour endoscopically with or without laser, you know you are in competent hands.
You are welcome to let me know the progress.
