At What Age Should Cleidocranial Dysplasia Treatment Be Started?

Question: My husband and my son have cleidocranial dysplasia. At what age should we start working on his teeth? My husband thinks we should let it go into his teen years at least to see what his mouth will do on its own. I tend to agree with my husband since he's been through it himself. What do you recommend?
Brief Answer:
You should wait till the age of 14
Detailed Answer:
Hello, XXXX, thank you for consulting with healthcaremagic.
This is Dr. Dipti Singh here to answer your query.
Actually in cleidocranial dysplasia sugical as well as root canal treatment and restorations are necessary for complete rehabilitation of the mouth, but the percentage depends on person to person.
According to me you should wait till the age of 14 as till then the necessary permanent teeth will come and it will be better to restore them.
Thank you.
Hope it will help you.

Can you explain to me, specifically, why we should wait? (I agree with you, but want to have the specific information for arguments' sake)
Brief Answer:
till the age of 7 you have all milk teeth
Detailed Answer:
Hello,XXXX,
Actually till the age of 7 you have all milk teeth. Permanent teeth start erupting after 6-7 years of age and milk teeth shed off.
Permanent teeth till 1 st molar erupts till the age of 14 , so it will be better to get the tooth restored and infected tooth removed at that time.
As it will be a complete treatment.
Hope it will help you.
Thank you.

Dr . Dipti Singh
