CT Scan Showed Mild Splenomegaly. What Are The Treatment Available?
Question: In a CT Scan I had the report indicated mild splenomegaly, what is this condition and what are the treatment options if any?
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
I understand your concern.
Do not panic.
Mild splenomegaly can be due mild infections.
It is a vague finding unless associated with some specific symptoms like fever, jaundice, distention of abdomen or anemia. In these cases a diagnosis must be made to diagnose the disease.
Spleen is an organ through which old blood cells are replaced. It is a filter like organ.
Hope this answers your query.
