Can Anafranil Be Taken For Atrial Fibrillation?

Question: I have a history of atrial fibrillation, is Anafranil safe for me? Its episodic, I take myself out of it with "pill in the pocket" flecanaid.

Since you have had episodes of atrial fibrillation, (which have been converted to normal rhythm with flecainide), you should use anafranil with safety.

Anafranil may cause hypotension, PVC, tachycardia and may trigger atrial fibrillation. This is why the drug should be started under medical supervision and the dose should be titrated based on cardiac response.
