Remote chance of contracting HIV

Hi Mr XXXXXXX

Welcome to health care magic.

I have gone through your previous queries and there is very remote chance of acquiring HIV through inanimate objects as HIV does not survive in open air for long.

I understand your anxiety regarding the same.

But please quit worrying about this episode and make sure you be careful while handling trash the next time.

I hope I was able to help you with this answer.

Please do not hesitate to get back if any more queries.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr XXXXXXX

Welcome back.

The picture of the white object you have uploaded looks like a cover made of latex or plastic which tend to have sharp edges and can cause minor abrasions of skin.

But still I doubt that can pose a risk to you in any way of acquiring HIV.

I stand by my previous answer.

Please quit worrying unnecessarily.

Wishing you good health.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
No testing required, Precautions to be taken if handling biomedical waste

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr XXXXXXX

Welcome back.

For the episode which you mentioned, no testing is required.

But as you are mentioning the hazardous bag, I want to explain few details regarding handling biomedical waste.

Biomedical waste is waste produced in hospitals and related industry which is segregated in different colored bags with biohazard sign and disposed in a particular manner.

A person handling such waste should take adequate precaution as the risk of getting infection from such infectious waste is more.

Such waste handlers should wear uniform, apron, boots, gloves and mask when transporting the waste.

I suggest you follow the above mentioned precautions if you are handling biomedical waste.

More information about the same is provided in the link below:

I hope I have cleared your doubts.

Wishing you good luck.

Thanks.
