Can HIV Be Contracted Through Protected Intercourse?

Question: hi doctor i had a sex with prostitiute last night while doing condome i found my condome was broken and within 30 secs i removed my penis and that time my cum is not injected,even my pre cum is not came out that time..still any chances for infected to HIV ? thank you

The risk is very low, negligible I would say since for hIV transmission it is required prolonged sexual intercourse and condom breakage may be problematic but if you noticed it early then I dont think you should worry. WIsh you good health. Regards

For antibody tests you should wait at least 3 weeks,and optimal it would be at 5 weeks postexposure.
For RNA PCR test it is shorter and it can be detected after 2 weeks.
